With 'the Door 2000', all the things you do new will be easier and faster, and what you've wanted to do is now possible.        This documentation introduces you to 'The Door' and gets you up and running quickly. It shows you how to do the most common task, provides you with tips and points you to some of the fun and exciting new features that come with 'The Door 2000'

Since Microsoft has firstly released Windows and modified & upgrade to Windows 98, most users had a windows95 or 98 which they used regularly. Now in 1999 Macrohard Pty Ltd. has released a new Operating System, it calls "The Door 2000". A product designed to make an easier,faster for each user.The Management Director of Macrohard Pty Ltd. believe that people will think it is really clever to "Chuck out the Door" anything which comes through the "Windows". "The Door" is aimed at providing computer users with a suitable and effective replacement for any old Operating System. "The Door 2000" presents the state of technology in computer world. We are excited and enthusiastic about "The Door". We want to lead you into understanding the working of this marvelous machine and to share with you the excitement of knowing what it is, how it works, and what it can do.

 
 Term of Reference
 

The Project Team’s of reference were worldwide and this proposal includes the final design and production of the "The Door" user documentation.         The board of Macrohard Pty Ltd. wanted a suitable set of documentation designed to simplify "The Door" features. Now with the release of the "The Door" with more new, powerful features and its simplified user documentation "The Door " will capture the attention of millions of computer users.  The features of  "The Door" are far more superior to all old Operating System. The major features that will everyone talking are that of Super Security, Multilanguage, Auto Trouble-Shooting, Voice Interface Help, compatible with all PC.

 
Documentation Recommendations
 

+The main style specification for all documentation are as follows: font = Times New Roman, Size = 12point, Margins set to Top & Bottom = 2.54cm, Left margin = 3.17cm & right margin = 2cm. All Headers and footers will be set to 1.25cm.  The paper Size is produced in A4. The page numbering will be on the bottom left hand corner of all documents.  The ‘Owner’s Manual’ will be written in a step by step technique displayed in a compact A4 size and the document will be translated into Multilanguage for distribution overseas.  The ‘Help Desk Manual’ will be produced A4 size, coil bound booklet for fast easy reference. This will identical to the ‘Owner’s Manual’ with the exception of the ‘ Table of contents’ page being replaced with a much more versatile ‘Index to Manual’ page. The ‘Index Manual will incorporate quick reference details for the operator to assist any owner via the phone. This documentation will also be translated into Multilanguage for future distribution to the expected overseas help desk departments  A video will be produced to enhanced the retailer’s abilities to demonstrate ‘the Door’. Please note that we have taken this opportunity to incorporate people from different backgrounds (i.e. non-English speaking, handicapped, children and the elderly) into this video to enhance the easy of use of the ‘The Door’ to potential purchasers. The video contains operating instructions.

Distribution

The aim is that ‘The Door’ will be placed in worldwide. We intend to launch ‘The Door’ to overseas after a detailed report is received on the end of the first month’s sales figures. The expected time set down for the release overseas has not yet been set. This is due to the delay in the translation of the document, video into multi language.
